From April 15 to May 1, the ‘XXIX Fiestas de la Verdura’ were held in La Ribera, which, once again, pay homage to the products of our land.

For yet another year we were able to enjoy some splendid ‘Vegetable Festival’, full of events for all audiences, in which homage was paid to the best produce from the Navarrese orchard.

FHF could not miss the appointment and was present at various events such as the organization of workshops, raffles, contests or the donation of products to different entities for use in different activities.

‘Brocolin and his Pandi’ is back

On the 24th several activities took place with ‘Brocolín y su Pandi’ as protagonists, 7 characters who accompany the little ones during these days at school in different activities such as contests or workshops. An educational project promoted by Sakata Ibérica, created in order to promote healthy eating among the little ones, especially through the consumption of fruits and vegetables

We start at 5:30 p.m. visiting the Plaza de los Fueros together with + Brocoli to meet the true fans of ‘Brocolín’.

Starting at 6:30 p.m., a workshop was held with our friends from ‘La Pandi’, in which both children and adults could taste grilled sautéed broccoli. In addition, all the little ones were presented with different gifts such as stories, plates or special thermos.

In addition, during those two weeks, six schools from Tudela and La Ribera participated, for yet another year, in the ‘La Pandi’ workshops, where the children were able to learn first-hand about vegetables from our area. Also, as a novelty this year, and after a pilot project in Murcia, we had the opportunity to visit the three public day-care centers in Tudela together with the +Brócoli association, where the little ones enjoyed discovering some of the secrets of these products from our vegetable garden.

More than a thousand children who, on this occasion, were able to discover a lot of new things with our workshops, also being presented with two stories and a plate per class.

Tastings, tastings, contests, workshops… a party in style around the products of our vegetable garden that, once again, has enjoyed a wonderful reception. Thanks to the organizers and especially to the members of the Order of Volatín for once again filling the streets with joy, color and flavor.
