FHF, new member of the association ‘+ Broccoli’

The organization ‘+ Broccoli’ seeks, among other things, to make our population aware of the benefits of this vegetable, as well as its culinary versatility through campaigns and training activities.

FHF is one of the new members of +Brócoli , an association that aims to promote the consumption of broccoli through different activities, both for children and adults. In this way, our company wants to get involved in the work of disseminating and promoting the consumption of broccoli in our country, one of the main products that we commercialize at FHF, from organic farming.

This organization is made up of farmers, marketers, restaurateurs or different entities; as well as affiliates of different kinds: doctors, psychologists, researchers, dieticians or nutritionists among others, who are aware of the importance in the dissemination of a greater consumption of broccoli in our territory, a vegetable that has been cultivated in our country for decades and that counts with countless benefits.

This association pursues different objectives to publicize and praise the benefits of this product, such as:

  • Inform and publicize the way to cook broccoli for a more nutritious and delicious consumption.
  • Collect and disseminate the scientific information that supports the nutritional and healthy properties of broccoli.
  • Collaborate in nutritional and culinary training and education actions aimed at citizens.
  • Promote debate, training and communication activities around broccoli and its consumption.

Broccoli consumption in our country

In recent years, Spain has multiplied the consumption of this vegetable almost tenfold, where until recently it was almost a stranger in our diet. This data reflects an important change in the consumption pattern, since until now most of its production was destined abroad.

Thanks to this growing popularity, broccoli is becoming one of the reference vegetables that we can find more easily in our markets, and many farmers are betting on its cultivation in different regions of the country. A product that, in addition to being delicious, is considered a superfood that provides multiple properties for our health.
